How to Connect MamaRoo to BlueTooth

1. Turn on the MamaRoo Swing

To turn on the swing, make sure the swing’s power cord is plugged in, then push the power button.

2. Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is on

To turn on Bluetooth in an iPhone, go to “Settings”, then “Bluetooth”, then swipe to make the button green.

To turn on Bluetooth on an Android, swipe down from the top of the screen, then select the Bluetooth icon so it turns blue.

3. Download the 4Moms app on your phone

Click here to open the 4Moms app on an iPhone or here for the app on an Android.

4. In the 4Moms app, click on the “+” symbol to find your swing

The button to connect your swing to your phone is the + button in the top right corner. It’s not the green “Find your Roo” button.

The first button you’ll probably notice is the green “Find your Roo” button. This helps determine what swing motion and speed is most like your own physical swinging motion and speed by having you cradle the phone in your arms, but only completing this won’t link your phone to the swing.

5. Hold down the swing’s musical note button for 3 seconds

The 4Moms app should then tell you to hold down the musical note button on the swing for 3 seconds.

Once the phone and swing are connected, the Bluetooth symbol on the swing will turn blue and your phone will say it’s connected.

When connected, it will look like this:

If Your MamaRoo Swing Won’t Connect to Bluetooth:

To troubleshoot the swing’s Bluetooth connection, you can:

  • Turn off and unplug the swing, then plug in and retry.
  • Turn off your phone’s Bluetooth, then turn on and retry.
  • Make sure your swing is turned on and within 10 feet of your phone.
  • Make sure your phone has permission granted for the 4Moms app to access Bluetooth.
    • To do this, go to your phone’s settings, then the 4Moms app, then turn the Bluetooth option to on.
  • Make sure you’re selecting the “+” symbol in the app, not the green “Find your Roo” button.
